Daanyal Saeed is a journalist currently based in Sydney, Australia. He is the media reporter for independent outlet Crikey.
He was previously a sports reporter at news.com.au and before that, the local reporter in Grafton, NSW for News Corp Australia's local mastheads. An experienced reporter in large commercial and independent newsrooms, he also has significant experience in radio, having spent a number of years on student and community stations.
His reporting has been featured in The Australian, Daily Telegraph, Herald Sun, news.com.au, Fox Sports, The Mandarin, Crikey, Honi Soit, Pulp Media, as well as on the ABC, Network 10 and CNA.
A proud Victorian and sports tragic, he has covered World Cups and Ashes, as well as Grand Slams to Grand Prix to Grand Finals. He looks forward to the glorious return of the ODI tri-series and in addition to media reporting, welcomes sports pitches and freelance opportunities particularly in cricket, Australian Rules football, football, golf, and motorsport.
